ABOUT

At 9, I joined a synchronized swimming team — because holding my breath underwater seemed like a good time. The only club in my hometown, Gothenburg, was full of girls twice my age, so I fibbed about mine and joined.

Later, during our Christmas show, we performed with torches in a pitch-black pool. I soon realized I was too small and weak to keep up. My solution: If the torch’s fire didn’t go out,"nobody’s gonna know". So, for the rest of the performance, I was only a torch moving above the surface, occasionally appearing like a seal for air. My mom said she didn’t even notice. Win!

Since then, I tried a dozen of other sports (judo, bandy, badminton, diving, hockey and the list goes on...) and now you might think, "is this a webpage for hobby athletes?” – you’re still on Alice's portfolio – but the point is that I’ve always been drawn to new experiences, and even if it’s a challenge, I seem to make it happen :-)
